Resolved - This issue has now been resolved from Google Sheet's end. Original method of "Publish to Web" CSV/TSV should now be working as per usual. Please contact Support if you still need help.

Update - We're discovered a workaround for hosting/refreshing Google Sheet feeds correctly in the meantime.

1. Copy the Google Sheet URL where your feed is hosted and open it in a separate tab.
(Example: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oOxfD-qR9jaU9X123-XZzIdRoDXu8gGueDCDQbUcDBY/edit?gid=1908444542#gid=1908444542)

2. Modify the link:
Replace the part after the document ID (/edit?gid=...) with export?format=csv&gid=...
(Example: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oOxfD-qR9jaU9X123-XZzIdRoDXu8gGueDCDQbUcDBY/edit?gid=1908444542#gid=1908444542)
Remove the #gid=ID portion.
The updated link will look like this:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oOxfD-qR9jaU9X123-XZzIdRoDXu8gGueDCDQbUcDBY/export?format=csv&gid=1908444542

3. Paste this new link as your Data Source in Smartly’s Automation Feed platform or Catalogs. This will enable you to map your fields and set up campaigns.

Update - We want to outline how these issue may affect Smartly in general:

– New automation feeds or catalog feeds cannot be created at this time.
– As existing automation feeds and catalog feed fail to refresh. This can lead to campaigns, ad sets, or ads running on stale data if they rely on automation.
– Smartly stores the last successfully retrieved version of a file. The system will continue to use this cached data. Any newer updates in the feed (e.g., status changes, budget changes, newer ads added to feeds) will not be published.

If urgent changes are required (such as pausing campaigns to avoid overspend), please make them directly in the native ad platforms.

Your campaign/adset/ad edits and creation should no longer see the error ""An unexpected error has occurred. Please retry your request later.". If you are still seeing errors - please contact Support Chat to start a new investigation.

Update - Meta is still investigating the issue.
In the meantime, if the matter is urgent, please consider the following workarounds:
1, Publish the ad without Placement Asset Customisation (PAC) in Workspace.
2, Publish the ad without PAC in Workspace, then set PAC manually in Ads Manager.
3, Publish the ad with PAC in Workspace, then clone the ad.

Please note for method 2:
If the ad creative is edited outside of Workspace (e.g., in Ads Manager), Workspace will skip all future creative updates for that ad. To avoid this, you’ll need to continue editing the ad in Ads Manager unless you later change the Workspace setting to “override changes outside of Workspace”—once Meta resolves the issue.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, and appreciate your patience as time has been taken to investigate and resolve the issue.

Investigating - We are currently investigating reports of an issue with carousel PAC ad previews, resulting in the error: Unsupported Ad Format in Dynamic Creative Ads. Please note that all your running ads should continue to deliver without interruption.

We have opened a ticket with Meta and will provide another update as soon as we receive more information. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Resolved - Meta Support confirmed on the August of 15th on 18:00 CET that the Meta Ad Account Token reset was due to a Meta bug that they have since fixed. Affected users had to access Facebook to take additional steps to reconfirm as legitimate user for their Facebook accounts. Affected Smartly Ad Accounts needed to be reconnected after the previous steps were completed. Meta Support that this bug did not affect Meta Ads Delivery.

Update - We have multiple customers affected by a Meta ad account authoriser token cancellation. If you receive an email stating this, please re-connect the ad account with the ad account authoriser or a person with sufficient permissions.

All running ads should continue to deliver; however, any changes made after the token cancellation will result in an error unless the ad account authoriser re-connects the ad account.
